A Ransom Plea is a cutting edge Christian rock band that was formed in late 2008. A Ransom Plea is all about one thing – bringing glory to Jesus Christ. “Our music is our plea for ransom. Jesus Christ paid our ransom and we strive to make our lyrics and lifestyle reflect His great love for us,” says lead vocalist, Chase Gentes.
With a revolutionary worship style, A Ransom Plea stands firm upon the life changing power of Christ, which they reveal through music. Chase also says, “It’s not just about loud music or cool lights; it’s about bringing our worship and devotion before our living God through song. In the end, we are chasing after Him and His fame, not ours.”
A Ransom Plea has led worship at many churches in the Metro Atlanta Area including Johnson Ferry Baptist in Marietta, Fellowship Bible in Roswell, Church in the Now in Conyers, and First Baptist of Douglasville. They have also played at venues such as The 7 Venue in Douglasville; and they led worship for a youth conference at Roanoke First Baptist Church in Virginia. A Ransom Plea is currently in the process of recording their first full length album. It is due to be released in the spring of 2010.
